VENDORS

Our

Watson Block Event Center

Venue

Swooped in and saved the day as our perfect venue. Gorgeous intimate space in a remodeled industrial building in Minneapolis. Their decor had us from first sight - chandeliers, long red curtains, original brick, wide open windows. They're even our wedding colors!

Deco Catering

Dessert Caterer

Another of Watson's preferred caterers, we've entrusted Deco to handle a crucial part of the wedding: desserts. Again, we had less traditional ideas for wedding treats. We love cake, but felt a big wedding cake wasn't quite us. Instead Deco worked with us to create a delightful spread based on our love of tiny desserts! Tip: we'll have plenty, but consider sharing with a buddy so you have room to taste everything. It's a lot.

Mae B Films

Nikki Miller | Videographer

Can we let you in on a secret? Finding a videographer right for us was one of the most daunting wedding hunts we faced. After browsing literally hundreds of cookie-cutter portfolios, we realized, who better to turn to for a rec than our photographer? Nicki Fietzer, our photographer, was spot on when she suggested Nikki Miller to us for videography. Nikki is big on narrative, just like us, and has been so great and thorough about learning about us in order to tell our story. Y'all we're hype to see her final incredible videos of our day.

King Brothers Clothiers

Bespoke suiting

If you know J, you probably know they're a big suit nerd. So even though they've never dreamed of a bridal gown, they have dreamt dearly of a bespoke suit. These jolly local brothers gave us a great bespoke experience, from customizing every detail of our suits to finally trying on each finished piece.

Samantha Rei

Cape designer for J

The point in wedding planning where J finally decided, "Hell, I should just do it. I'm gonna do it!!" about commissioning an indulgent, fancy, regal cape for their wedding look was a pivotal point in more fully embracing the "us" of our wedding. Samantha is a local designer frequently showing in awesome Twin Cities fashion shows and who you can catch on Season 16 of Project Runway.

Noelle Pangilinan

Singer + Musician

One of the friends we immediately knew we wanted standing with us on our day. Honestly, we're excited for you all to have the opportunity to enjoy Noelle's ridiculously beautiful singing. This wedding is secretly just her concert that we're putting on, with food.

Sterling Catering

Food Caterer

Something we love almost as much as each other: food. From the first moments of planning, we knew we wanted to feed y'all great food. We were thrilled that Sterling, one of Watson's preferred caterers, was up to the task of collaborating with us on our menu ideas.

De Nueva Photography

Nicki Fietzer | Photographer

We really wanted to have special photos capturing all of our day. The personal touches we pored over, the atmosphere, and especially the feelings of love and friendship. And as queer artists (one of us brown), we were looking for someone whose work was beautiful, showed excellent skill, featured all kinds of people, and felt authentic. We look forward to sharing Nicki's fantastic photos from our celebration with you!

With These Rings

Stephanie Selle | Jeweler

People are often impressed when we tell them we made our own wedding bands by hand. Really, it was a breeze and super fun thanks to Stephanie. She guided us through the whole process, reassured us she wasn't letting us leave with rings we didn't love, and was overall a real chill person to spend most of a day with in her studio. We sawed metal, blowtorched, chiseled, soldered, sanded, and polished. At the end, we had two perfect rings and a priceless memory.

Jean Fioca | @hylianjean

Crown designer for K (+Kat)

A crown was K's pick for a special regal accessory. Not just any crown though - something floral, but also metallic? Spindly, crystally. Something hard to describe and seemingly non-existent anywhere we looked. So we went custom, and who better to take such a project to than a clever and creative seasoned costuming professional? We were saved by our friend Jean! Justin and Fran first introduced us to her while we were visiting them in Seattle. She is a crown GENIUS and an absolute dream to collaborate with. She's truly gone the extra mile for us and you'll be seeing her creative mark all over the wedding - in K's crown, Kat's matching crown, and both Francesca and Justin's court looks!

Nate Hance

Reception Pianist

An amazing piano is the reason we found Watson Block in the first place, so it seemed a true shame to not have such a captivating instrument feature into our event. If you check out Nate's site and YouTube channel, you'll see why he quickly caught our attention. We know you'll enjoy his lively and versatile performing! Feel free to request songs from him as well.
